I have it set to do a backup when I close down to an SD card that remains in the Win 8 machine. I did a year end tax report last week which was helpful for year end planning with the tax gal. For my small grain farm situation and personal finances it works well. It has a somewhat different appearance than the old version but behaves the same. I heard about the Sunset version of MS Money, here I think and installed it. I didn't even utilize all the features that the old version had. I too used an old version of MS Money for several years. Quicken has worked so far for our accountant. I started out doing the farm book on Microsoft Money and loved it, was sorry to see it go. Our bank will export to Quicken so I am getting ready to try Quicken for Mac. I downloaded an app called MoneyWiz that allowed me to import my old MS Money files, but it will not list the transaction details (i.e. I do pay bills online, and use this IPad for most internet surfing, so I would like to be able to do everything on it. The computer I had it on was Windows XP, and when they stopped supporting that I took the computer offline because of no virus protection. I don't need or want to put everything on the cloud, do online banking, link to credit cards, etc. All I use it for is entering checks, budgeting ahead, printing reports for taxes, and as a record for looking back at transactions in previous years. Have used MS Money since 2004 for farm and business. Thought this would be simple but I can't find a good replacement.
